I had a lovely meet up today at 126 Artist Run Gallery with Lucy and Blaithin, all systems go for my exhibitions here in October! I can’t believe my residency here finishes tomorrow, that month flew by.

Foreign Bodies at 126 Artist Run Gallery
I’m really enjoying being artist in residence at 126 Artist Run Gallery in Galway. Today I got to see the Foreign Bodies exhibition that is on there at the moment, it consists of work from Ilaria Margutti, Giancarlo Marcali and Elisabetta di Sopra.
It is definitely my favourite exhibition this year at the Galway International Arts Festival. For more information about Foreign Bodies click here.
Aideen Barry’s Brittlefield
I was in Dublin for the day collecting my work from the RHA – I was taking part in their Annual Exhibition. Luckily I got to see Aideen Barry’s Brittlefield while I was there.
It was great to see the work in person, I definitely recommend a visit to anyone, it is on exhibit at the RHA, Dublin until the 21st August. For more information click here.
Busy studio day!

Paper Bloom Publication
My Paper Bloom book is a permanent documentation of my Jackie Clarke Collection Residency to Commemorate 1916.
I’m delighted with how the publication has turned out. My friend Sally was the designer on the project. As my Paper Bloom installation is temporary I wanted to have something permanent left behind. It is a limited edition book, and was only available at the closing event of Paper Bloom, but there are a few copies in libraries around Mayo.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Paper Bloom book – Peter Hynes, Sinead Mc Coole, Vincent Woods, and Aidan Dunne. And of course a big thank you to the designer Sally Caulwell.
Paper Bloom Closing Event and Publication Launch
Last Saturday the 25th of June marked the final day of my Paper Bloom exhibition. I have been artist in residence at the Jackie Clarke collection since last September 2015, the time has really flown by, but I have enjoyed every minute of it, and learned so much.
I was blown away by all the people that showed up for the closing event, it was lovely to see so many people. My Paper Bloom limited edition publication was also launched at the closing event, we were giving away one free copy to everyone who attended. Edel Golden, the manager of the Jackie Clarke Collection was the MC for the event, she did an amazing job. Aidan Dunne, Irish Times Art Critic, was the guest speaker, he spoke so beautifully, it was lovely to hear what he had to say about my work. I said a few words to give people an insight into Paper Bloom, and to say thank you. My Paper Bloom publication is a permanent documentation of my Jackie Clarke Collection residency.
Thank you to everyone for coming to the closing event of Paper Bloom and my publication launch. I hope you enjoy my book!
