The On Sight art trail takes place annually at the National Museum of Ireland – Country Life, Turlough Park, Castlebar, Co. Mayo. It is a Summer art trail encouraging visitors to explore the themes of the Museum through outdoor art works.This year the theme for On Sight 2016 is ‘1916’ – with a focus on daily life and drawing on the Museum’s collections for inspiration.
‘Where they see beauty, we see necessity’
Blending the contemporary with a reflection on the 100 years since 1916. The artist examines the necessity and luxury of craft work over time.
