Visual Art Programme for Schools – Entropy

It is so great to see schools engaging with my exhibition Entropy at the Linenhall Arts Centre.

The Linenhall Arts Centre – This May our Visual Art Programme for Schools is based around Katie Moore’s exhibition “Entropy”. The pupils visit the gallery and engage with the art work using the Visual Thinking Strategies approach. One child said “It’s like someone dropped them and they are left floating”, and another observed “It’s mostly made of nature, and the plants are from nature.” Following the gallery visit the pupils are taking part in a workshop in which they explore creating a flower from paper in order to symbolise something. One teacher commented about the workshop “It required attention and concentration and kept all engaged.”
